Critico Awarded Key Contract for Critical Messaging at Medway Maritime Hospital
We’re proud to announce our latest healthcare contract win, delivering a state-of-the-art critical messaging solution at Medway Maritime Hospital, part of Medway NHS Foundation Trust. The new system will modernise the hospital’s communications by replacing outdated one-way pagers with Critico’s two-way, multi-network alerting platform.
This upgrade ensures vital messages reach clinical teams reliably – whether on-site, off-site or in transit – via our National Paging Network, dedicated on-site infrastructure and GSM networks. Designed specifically for healthcare environments, the solution enhances Medway’s operational resilience while supporting faster, clearer decision-making.
The project kicked off with a thorough site visit, allowing our engineering and project teams to assess the hospital’s layout and communication pain points first-hand. This groundwork enabled us to design a bespoke implementation of our Bridge platform, tuned to the hospital’s real-world demands.
Bridge combines dual-frequency paging, GSM triple resilience, and encrypted mobile messaging in one streamlined package. The result is real-time message delivery with read receipts, device responses, and audit trails – giving the Trust full visibility and accountability over its most critical communications.
By eliminating single points of failure and integrating with existing infrastructure, Critico delivers enhanced performance and reliability while reducing overall system complexity and cost.
This deployment reaffirms Critico’s position as a trusted provider of critical communications in healthcare, driven by innovation, partnership and proven results.
