Enhancing Campus Communications at Trinity College Dublin
Founded in 1592, Trinity College Dublin is Ireland’s only “ancient university” and a globally ranked institution. With its mix of historic and modern architecture, the campus is not just a hub for education but also a major tourist attraction, welcoming over two million visitors annually.
However, its existing radio communication system was fragmented, with a mix of analogue and digital channels across different departments. This lack of interoperability hindered seamless communication between teams such as Security, Library, and the Business School. Coverage gaps, particularly in basement areas and new buildings, further impacted efficiency and safety.
To address these challenges, Trinity College Dublin required a modern, integrated radio solution that could provide full campus-wide coverage, improve interdepartmental communication, and ensure reliable connectivity in critical areas.
